We can’t wait to celebrate with you all.

The countdown is on. We've put together some more information below, which we'll add to as we get closer to the big day (we'll update via email too, don't worry).

the venue

The Cairngorms have always been special to both of us as well as our families. As soon as we got engaged we knew we wanted to tie the knot there.

It just so happened that Emma's parents (Anita and Mike) had recently upped sticks and moved to the perfect spot!

The wedding venue, aka Coulnakyle House, is Emma's parents' house, and as luck would have it there is the perfect party barn next door.

Anita & Mike have been renovating Coulnakyle House since they got the keys. Little did they know that the rush would be on to get it finished in time for a very special wedding...

dress code

The wedding will be in a relaxed garden setting with the reception being in a stone barn thereafter. We would like our wedding to be a traditional Scottish theme, with men in highland daywear.

This means kilts or trews with an argyll tweed jacket and not full highland dress. If you don't have this don't worry a suit will be perfect. For the ladies, cocktail dresses or something semi-formal would be appreciated and we would also kindly ask that wedding hats and fascinators are left at home on this occasion.

We plan to hopefully have the ceremony outdoors so please be conscious of this and bring appropriate footwear as we don’t want any stilettos getting lost in the lawn. Remember this is Scotland and the weather is unpredictable at best, so please dress for the weather.

We will have a cloak room for you to use on the day.

1200hrs to 1300hrs - Guest arrival and welcome drinks

1330hrs - Wedding Ceremony

1400hrs to 1600hrs - Cocktails and Canapés

1600hrs to 1900hrs - Scran and Speaches

2000hrs - Get your dancing shoes on!

2130hrs - Evening snacks

0030hrs - Last Orders at the Bar

Transport

We kindly remind guests that there is NO parking at the venue.

We have organised shuttle transfers for everyone staying within the village to and from the venue. The details of this will follow.
